AI Blocks

AI Block: Fundamental Score — what it is and how to use it in trading

Definition

Fundamental Score (fundamental.score) is an AI block that returns a numeric rating of an asset's fundamental backdrop from 0 to 10, where 5 is neutral, above 5 is bullish, and below 5 is bearish.

How it works in the builder

A number operand in the 0-10 range (5 = neutral, per the builder's own field hint). Like the other AI blocks, it is read from a precomputed cache and always evaluates false in backtest.

What it looks like on the chart

Drawn as a big number alongside a 0-10 scale with a marker at the current value — a finer-grained view than the 3-segment sentiment gauge.

Typical use

Typical condition: fundamental.score > 6 as a "moderately positive fundamentals" filter, or > 7 for a stricter threshold. Available only in LIVE strategies and only on the Pro plan.

Common pitfalls

It's an aggregated rating, not a guarantee of price direction — the fundamental backdrop and short-term price action can diverge, especially on short timeframes.
